Prayer At The Kansas State Capitol

Prayer At The Kansas State Capitol

As the 2015 Kansas Legislative session begins Culture Shield would like to invite you to the State Capitol on a regular basis.  During the legislative session we will have continual prayer from 8am. – 5 pm. daily.  It’s a wonderful way to get acquainted with the process of making laws and pray for our leaders.  We want each decision being made to be covered with prayer.  Please go to the Capitol, Room 381 West and check in and you’ll find out who the leader is for the day.  Come for a morning or afternoon or even if you just have an hour.  You’ll be able to prayer in the Hearing Room, House and Senate Chambers rooms.

All prayer is appreciated as we lift up our State, Nation and Israel to the King of Kings.  We pray for wisdom, unity ad integrity of purpose and against any schemes of the enemy.

Prayer On The Hill

You still have time to make plans to come to Topeka next Monday the 13th for the annual Prayer on the Hill.  It kicks off the first day of the legislative session.  It’s our duty to know how our government works, and it’s a great opportunity to meet many of our representatives and the governor and pray for them, our state and our nation.

Come to the capitol on Monday and go to the 3rd floor to check in.  There will be worship beginning at 8 a.m. A prayer walk at 10 a.m., praying for the Governor at noon and then a workshop  on releasing prayer & fasting in Kansas from 2:30 – 4 p.m. in room 112 N.

This is not your only chance to come and pray at the capitol as prayer goes on each day during the legislative session.  God says, “you are the light of the world, You are a city set on a Hill.” Please take this responsibility to pray for our leaders seriously,…after all God says in 1 Timothy 2  , “First of all….”

Statewide Tour With Neil Mammen Coming Soon!

We have some exciting events coming up in 2014 that we will want you to follow on our website.  In September, we brought David Barton & Neil Mammen  (author of 40 Days Toward a more Godly Nation) to Topeka for the Captiol Briefing.

Neil will be coming back to Kansas to encourage us to get involved in our culture.  I met Neil over 3 years ago and was so impressed with his teaching of apologetics and knowledge of our national situation, I thought, wow, I would love to bring him to Kansas and have him travel the state with me.

Well, in 2014 that is what is going to happen.  The announcement will be coming soon, so look for us on the web when we announce our schedule and look for us to  come to a city near you.  You won’t want to miss this opportunity and in the meantime, you would really do well to get his book and start his 6 week study in your community.  Make sure to sign up for CutureShield emails to stay up to date!
