The Awakening Freedom Tour is coming to Kansas on February 8th in Lenexa.   Governor Brownback will be speaking during this Saturday morning event to share the Spiritual History of Kansas and the legacy we need to leave our children.

Neil Mammen, author of Jesus is/Was Involved in Politics, was in Wichita this weekend and spoke to several crowds about how to end poverty, how the church can take back some of what the government iis doing and do it so much better with much less money.

It’s not too late, even though many are trying to take away our Religious Liberties, we’re going on the offense to say, “Not on our watch.” That is why it’s called the Awakening Freedom Tour.

The Awakening Freedom Tour is going to 10 cities in Kansas. During the Awakening Freedom Tour in K.C. we are holding a Patriot Camp for kids 8-14 to learn about their Founding Fathers.  Go to cultureshield.com and sign up on the stay informed to see how you can help.

No State Tax To Help Hispanic Businesses

Last week Gov. Brownback came to Wichita to encourage Hispanics to develop and grow businesses.  Here is Kansas the Hispanic population is growing.

Kansas needs the Hispanic community to succeed, Brownback said. Hispanics make up 11 percent of the Kansas population and 16 percent of school-age children but, in the most recent count, just 2.4 percent of business owners.

We want to encourage the Hispanic community to grow, and we want you to grow here,” he said

Sharon Stuath owns a bilingual Wichita bookkeeping and tax service with more than 100 Hispanic business clients. She said she has been excited to tell her clients that they would have no state income tax bill this year. The tax break will give them money to buy more equipment or hire more people, she said. She believes it will drive economic development.

Ann Hoskinson, a California transplant who attended the forum, said she was encouraged by Brownback’s comments, saying she’d like to start a business that helps Hispanic businesses better market themselves.

The reason for her change? “Zero income taxes,” she said.
