Praying for Our Legislators

Today, January 13th is the first day of the legislative session in Kansas.  Many of us are in Topeka to launch this in prayer.  For those of you unable to join us, we ask that you would consider praying for the Kansas Legislature.

1Tim. 1:1& 2,  “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayer and intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness.”

When the Lord says the words, “First of all”…I believe He is making it a HUGE priority.  We are asking you to make it a daily priority.  Pray for your local representative and senator, pray for their families, pray for Biblical morality in our laws, pray for Godly men and women to consider running for office.    Pray for the education committee and their decisions about our children’s education. Believers, the Lord said, we are to intercede.

Please join us in prayer.

I would appreciate receiving your current & coming blogs on how to pray for Kansas & our Legislators. I regularly pray for Senator Mitch Holmes, District 33, through the ministry of CWA; & have been involved in that for years but have not known what their specific needs are. Your information will be a great help.

Do you know if anyone is specifically praying for Sen. Mary Pilcher Cook & Rep. John Rubin, my representatives in Kansas?
