Freedom Not Discrimination

We elect out legislators to represent us.  That doesn’t mean that we check in our civic responsibility at the voting booth.  They need us to be involved.  Last week the Kansas House of Representatives got blasted for passing a Religious Liberty bill.

The homosexual community took the bill and extrapolated it into a propaganda piece for their extreme agenda. They are trying to make it into something that it is not.  They are crying foul, when we should be saying, give us freedom.

And yet, we’re saying very little.  Your representatives need to hear from you that you appreciate their strong stance for liberty.  What this bill does say is that Catholic Charities will not have to close their doors if they do not place a child in a homosexual home.  It says, that if you own a bakery, you won’t get sued, if you refuse to bake the cake for their civil union ceremony.  It says, you cannot be forced as a photographer to work at a ceremony either.

Support your representative, call them, e-mail them and let them know how you feel.  These are the last names of the Representatives who support the bill.  If you don’t know who represents you go back to Culture Shields homepage and click on “Who Is My Legislator?”
