When Jesus Prayed

When we are traveling and away from home, I still go to to check on the weather.  When the storms of life come, I have another site I visit…it’s called the THRONE ROOM.  I’ve lived enough of life to know that He is always there, waiting, watching, longing for our time and attention.  It’s because He loves us and has so much He wants to teach us and give us.  Power…overcoming power is ours for the asking.

Today in our reading of scripture in Hebrews is talked about a time when Jesus was in the midst of a crisis.

It says, “In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers, and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.  Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.” Hebrews 5:7-8

The National Day of Prayer is May 7th and it is a time for us, united in Kansas to stand together and cry out to the Lord.  Teach us O Lord to obey.

Are You In Need of Rain?

The trees are budding, flowers are beginning to peek through the ground and the lilacs  smell amazing. New life, new birth, God’s creation is coming alive again.

How about His people?  Are we waking up, stretching, thanking Him for this beauty that He has provided?  Don’t take it for granted.  Without rain the beauty will fade, and without pruning, the new growth looks dead on the ends.  Where are we in Kansas Spiritually?  Are we in need of pruning? Are we in need of rain?

Thank the Lord our parched soil is being refreshed.  What about our parched souls?  Do you ever feel that you are in a dry and thirsty land?  The Lord says, “If you draw near to Me, I will draw near to you.”Comfort is found in the bosom of the Lord.  He longs for us to come to Him for comfort.  He wants to bring us beauty.  He wants what is best for us and is always about blessing us. All you who are weary and heavy laden, will find rest. Blessings to you all!

Reconciliation and Unity Service In Wichita

On Sunday, the state of Kansas watched as our two top basketball teams face off in the NCAA tournament.  Families might have been split, many in the state were split on who we wanted to win.  However, in the end, whoever won, would represent the great state of Kansas.  The disciples came to Jesus and said, “Lord, those other guys, they’re healing in your name!!!….Jesus said, “If they are not against us, they are on our side.” Now, we will unify around WSU….what about the church?  Are we ready for unity?  On Palm Sunday night in the city of Wichita, Pastors are coming together for a Reconciliation Service.  There will be repentance, Pastor to Pastor, Pastor to congregation, Congregation to Pastor.  The goal is unity.  Pray for Wichita, that we might be one spiritually and if this resonates with you, if you’ve had church splits, if there’s been gossip, hurt feelings, bitterness with other believers it’s time to put it under the blood.  Forgiveness is freeing.

March 29th – 6 p.m. Church At the Cross – 2901 W. Taft St Wichita, Ks.

“Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Psalm 133:1

Wichita means “scattered huts or houses.” True spiritual unity flows from the presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of our Lord’s people.  John 17:20,23 This city has had division and divisiveness in its roots throughout its history. Several churches that have been regularly meeting together for unity’s sake are going to have a “Reconciliation and Unity Service.”

Our city has been spiritually dysfunctional in many ways; church splits, church disablements, wounded pastors, wounded leaders and wounded sheep scattered and abandon, a divisive spirit, leviathan twisting and perverting the truth. Therefore the spiritual growth of our city has been stifled. We want to correct and heal this situation. We feel the Lord has called us to have a service to release healing and forgiveness and bring unity to Wichita. We want to obey and apply the Word of God to affect and Change the spiritual atmosphere of Wichita.

“He will forgive our sin as we forgive others— if you forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matt. 6:12,14,15

The service will include:

1. A pastor representing all pastors will repent to the sheep (congregation) for wounds caused by previous pastors or us and ask for forgiveness.

2.  A person representing the sheep will repent to the pastors and ask forgiveness for wounding and casting out pastors from their flocks.

3.  We will have pastor representing leaders asking forgiveness of other pastors and leaders for bad mouthing, a jealous spirit causing division, wanting authority that wasn’t theirs, thereby hurting the body of Christ.

4.  Sheep repent to sheep for spreading gossip, backbiting, and causing splits in the body of Christ. We will then ask love to flow from and to all churches that believe Jesus Christ is Lord and the only way to our Father in heaven.

5. We will pray for sheep that have been wounded and that are either hiding in large churches or not going to church at all to be healed, restored in fellowship, planted and bringing forth the fruit, gifts, purposes and plans of the Lord in their lives and in the body of Christ. We will worship, proclaim unity over our city and take communion together.

Please RSVP so we will know how many are coming.

(City Church 618.7700) If you can’t come will you please consider having your own repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation and unity service?

It’s time for all believers to hit their knees in prayer and pick up their cell phones and call the number of those on the education committee, led by Rep. Ron Highland. On Friday, that committee will decide the fate of Common Core in Kansas and the future of our children. Public Schools in Kansas don’t need to be put into a cookie press to turn out little worker bees.

We want good solid curriculum put together by Kansans.  Common Core is destructive in so many ways.

Have you checked out the way they want you to do math?

It’s time to pray, and call.  Activate your prayer lines, and ask the Lord to stop Kansas from Common Core.  HB 2292 is a good bill, and endorsed with its strong constitutionality by our own Secretary of State Kris Kobach.  You can call your local representative and tell them HB 2292 needs to pass to save Kansas children.

Our children are our most precious asset.

Statewide Holy Convocation

In order to truly see a change in a state, there are many things that have to happen.  In Kansas,  there have been decades of prayer warriors who have travailed over our historic land.  Now, we are at a moment in time when, we the present generation need to come together as one to declare Jesus as Lord over Kansas.

Our Goal:

We want Jesus to be greatly known, undeniably revealed, vastly followed and lavishly honored in Kansas.

We want you to save the date of May 30th for the Statewide Holy Convocation of Kansas.  It’s time for our generation to put the stake in the ground and dedicate Kansas to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. May 30th will be a historic day in Kansas. You’ll find more information at  We are asking a believer from each county to come and bring one gallon of soil to combine in a symbol of unity for believers across Kansas.  We want Kansans to care about what happens in our state.

KOBACH believes HB 2292 IS fully constitutional . . .

Exciting News Kansas Patriots!
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach sent out the attached letter calling for the immediate passing of HB 2292 – the Local Control of Kansas Education bill!  He addresses the complete Constitutionality of the bill and recommends it passes out of the Education Committee favorable.
For SOS Kobach to name the bill and call for its favorable passage goes way beyond the Constitutional issue.  He effectively takes away all the poor arguments and excuses being passed around by those that have said the bill was poorly written and unconstitutional.
He would not call for passage of a poor bill and he would know because he has written and helped write some of the strongest Constitutional bills in Kansas like the 2nd Amendment Protection Act!

With your help, we can expel Common Core from Kansas schools and ensure our children grow up with an excellent educational system that puts children, teachers, and parents first.

Call these representatives immediately, and tell them it’s critical they support a strong HB 2292 bill now!

“I don’t know what happened to America, the Shining City on the Hill for freedom.”

1. Chinese-American Mom Says Common Core Is Just Like Education in Communist China
November 30, 2014

See her testimony below: 3 minutes 19 sec

Lily Tang Williams, a mother of three, testified before the Colorado State Board of Education that Common Core was similar to the education she received growing up in Mao’s Communist China.

“Common Core, in my eyes, is the same as the Communist core I once saw in China,” Williams said. “I grew up under Mao’s regime and we had the Communist-dominated education — nationalized testing, nationalized curriculum, and nationalized indoctrination.”

In a post at FreedomWorks, Williams wrote about her experience with the Chinese education system:

Our teachers had to comply with all the curriculum and testing requirements, or lose their jobs forever. Parents had no choice at all when it came to what we learned in school. The government used the Household Registration and Personnel File system to keep track of its citizens from birth to death.

“I came to this country for freedom and I cannot believe this is happening all over again in this country,” she said in the meeting. “I don’t know what happened to  America, the Shining City on the Hill for freedom.”

She said Americans should not compare their children (or their kids’ test scores) to those being educated under the Chinese system.

“I am telling you, Chinese children are not trained to be independent thinkers,” said Williams. “They are trained to be massive skilled workers for corporations. And they have no idea what happened in Tiananmen Square in 1989 where government ordered soldiers to shoot its own 1,000 students.”

Williams said that while she understands that testing is necessary to improve education, top-down standards controlled by the federal government are not the answer: “Federal government holds the stick. International corporations hold the money.” She complained that students are offered this system of carrots and sticks by outside groups. Instead, she said, parents are supposed to control their children’s education.

“Individual rights. Individual liberty. That’s what I came to this country for,” Williams said. “Do you just want our kids to be test machines? Workers — cheap workers for corporations?” she asked the school board.

America is great. Don’t compare yourselves to China. That’s why lots of Chinese are trying to come here — to try to be free. And they all tell you, “Do not go after the Chinese Communist education.”

Williams said the Chinese system produces great test takers and great machine workers who are brainwashed and lack critical thinking skills. “I was brainwashed so bad it took me ten years in this country to get out of it,” she said.

My question is who is going to stop this! Are we going to continue to do what the Germans did and look on without opposing it? It appears so.

Here are two others – teachers testimony (Teacher of the Year 2014 and another from NY):

Two short videos from dedicated teachers that you must see to understand from their perspective why Common Core must be stopped.

2. “Honored as the “Top Teacher”, Stacie Starr quits due to Common Core

Support the Local Control of Kansas Education Act (HB 2292)

“Honored as the “Top Teacher” by ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Michael” show, Stacie Starr was speaking at an education forum earlier this week when she dropped a bombshell.

The veteran teacher at Elyria High School in Elyria, Ohio, told a stunned audience Monday she will resign at the end of the school year because of the new federal Common Core system of standards and assessments adopted by her state, reported the local Chronicle-Telegram newspaper.

Stacie Starr

At the forum, which sought to help parents navigate the complex standardized testing system, Starr was talking about how special education has suffered under Common Core.

As she fought back tears, she disclosed she is leaving traditional education and plans ‘to teach in a different way.”

“I can’t do it anymore, not in this ‘drill ‘em and kill ‘em’ atmosphere,” she said. “I don’t think anyone understands that in this environment if your child cannot quickly grasp material, study like a robot and pass all of these tests, they will not survive.”

Don’t let this happen in Kansas!

3. New York teacher stands up for the children against Common Core abuse

A creative young mind and a great teacher are a terrible thing to waste.

Please watch the video below from a month ago in New York and ask yourselves just how long are we going to allow the child abuse of Common Core to continue to assault the children of Kansas?  Teachers like this one are being pressured by unions and administrators to keep their mouths shut and to just keep telling the lie so that they can keep the State and Federal funds flowing.  Thank God some are finally coming out to stop the abuse and to stand up for the children.  Will you stand up for the children of Kansas?  Will our legislators?

4. Brilliant anti-Common Core Speech by Dr. Duke Pesta (University English Professor)

Published on Apr 24, 2014 – Have you heard about Common Core? The chilling truth behind these new national educational “standards” will terrify you. Common Core represents the latest and most comprehensive step in the drive toward complete government control of our children’s education. Join us for a special presentation exposing the truth about Common Core and the ongoing struggle to roll back its implementation. Our speaker will provide examples of how Common Core threatens to further undermine, weaken, and centralize public and private education in our country.

ACT NOW . . . To Help Stop Data Collecting in Our Public Schools

Data Collecting in SchoolsBeware

Invasion of Privacy!
Do you want your 6th grader answering these questions?

Parent ALERT !!!

Kansas Communities That Care Survey

Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services is the Agency promoting this!

Please read the attached survey and ask yourself if you want your 6th grade child or grandchild to take it.  A lobbyist and Rep. Sue Boldra have introduced a bill, HB 2099, asking the Education Committee to weaken the data privacy law to allow this survey to continue, and to be able to give more surveys on very private and personal matters.

The committee hearing is scheduled Friday, February 13 at 1:30, Room 112 N.  Written testimonies need to be in pdf format and sent to, who is the House Education Committee Assistant.

Please request that legislation be passed to strengthen the data privacy law, SB 367, at K.S.A. 72-6215 – 72-6223, of last session and oppose HB 2099.  Please request that parents must opt in their children for any surveys and data collected, and that they be shown copies of the data to be collected.
Currently data is being collected under common core and by KIDS, Kansas Individual Data on Students, in addition to non curricular surveys being administered by schools and numerous other agencies.  Much of this data is behavioral and judgments are being made about children.  Seaman School District is in the news for wanting to drug test students.  Where will the “sampling” on students end?  Parents have a right and responsibility to know about the files being collected on their children.

Be sure to look at the last page where it refers to the parent child relationship.

Prayer & Action. . . Call your legislators

 Prayer & ACTION
Call your legislator and these committee members – you can call and leave a message in the evening or anytime, they count the calls!
Once again, the halls of our capitol are swarming with lobbyist trying to convince our legislators in their favor to increase the number of outlets for hard liquor from around 700 to over 2500.

These highly paid front men and women, work for Kroger, Quick Trip, Dillons, etc.  They want to increase sales and profit for corporations that aren’t even housed in Kansas.

Family owned liquor stores are highly regulated and watched.  They know their customers.  This new proposal would allow 18 year olds to handle and sell hard liquor.

Why would Kansas need to make hard liquor so available to underage citizens, and why for Heaven’s sake can’t adults walk next door to buy wine or hard liquor if they want?

It’s time for the citizens of Kansas to say STOP IT!  Just STOP IT!.  We care about our state and you can’t have our kids.  Call your legislator TODAY because this bill will be in committee Monday, February 9 & 10th.
