When have you ever seen the U.S. Supreme Court rule so quickly? One day last week they said there was a stay on homosexual marriage, then two days later they said they lifted that ban and said homosexual couples could marry in Kansas.
What has happened on our watch? 71% of Kansans agreed to an amendment to our state constitution that marriage is only between one man and one woman. That was in 2005. There was only one county that disagreed and that was Douglas county where Lawrence resides. How has this happened? Have Christians fallen into the sloppy agape doctrine, that Jesus is all about love, love, love and not about holiness and righteousness?
Please read Romans 1 and be prepared to give a defense for righteousness in Kansas. Should the judges be able to override the will of the people in America?
I think not. Please pray that there will be an injunction to stop the madness. Kansas needs to be a tower of righteousness, so let’s raise a tower of prayer.
Americans are searching for meaning and they want churches to FIGHT BACK!
The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayo said those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.
“The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented,”
Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement.
“The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.”The Houston Chronicle reported opponents of the ordinance launched a petition drive that generated more than 50,000 signatures – far more than the 17,269 needed to put a referendum on the ballot. However, the city threw out the petition in August over alleged irregularities. Two cities in Kansas now have a gender identity law on the books.
KANSANS Awaken to what is happening. Believers: It’s time for your voice to be heard.
Last night my husband and I joined hands and prayed for the candidates and their families in Kansas. We prayed that the believers that the Lord wants would win and that Kansas would once again return to God fearing people who understand the constitution.
I believe that can only happen if God’s people vote and take seriously their responsibility to be informed. Today we must pray to bind the spirit of LIES and loose the spirit of TRUTH. We pray the spirit will bind lies, deception, dishonesty and distortion and bind any occult spirits that may be in operation.
We lose TRUTH- HONESTY and INTEGRITY and Ethical behavior.
Matthew 18:18 says, “Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.
Believers it’s up to you, the future of Kansas and our nation rests in your hands. In this day and age I believe there can be no reason to be an informed voter and no reason to get out and vote tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5th.
David and Jason Benham are amazing men of God and have grown up to believe in a Biblical Worldview.
They are former major league baseball players, graduates of Liberty University and wonderful family men. They are also successful businessmen and were halfway through filming a HGTV series “Flip It Forward” when they received some unexpected news.
HGTV was canceling their show even before it debuted because of their beliefs.
Pressure from the homosexual community cost them there show.
” We were saddened to hear HGTV’s decision. With all of the grotesque things that can be seen and heard on television today you would think there would be room for two twin brothers who are faithful to our families, committed to biblical principles, and dedicated professionals. If our faith costs us a television show then so be it.” Benham Brothers
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of good people getting bullied by the LGBT who DEMAND we conform to further their agenda.
Kris Kobach needs our urgent help before tomorrow!
Please take a few minutes and by Friday, 5 PM EST, make a public comment to protect Kansas Proof of Citizenship for Voter Registration. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (with Arizona) sued the Election Assistance Commission because the EAC refused to update the Kansas-specific instructions on the national mail voter registration form, which is the commission’s duty. This has caused all sorts of problems, and if the EAC doesn’t do its job the result will be a bifurcated voter registration system in Kansas and states with similar requirements.
1) That means people who use the federal voter registration form the way it is now (no instruction about Kansas’ requirement to submit a citizenship document) AND do not provide a citizenship document (because the form gives no notice to do so), will only have met federal requirements which means they can only vote a federal ballot.
2) But if the EAC updates the federal voter registration form, then people who use it and provide a citizenship document will have also met state requirements, which means they can vote in federal, state and local elections!
We have two days to make our voices heard! All in favor of including our state law requirements on the federal form should tell the EAC.
Sample Comment: COPY & PASTE the following as your comment, if you would like.
“I live in Kansas. The EAC must update the National Mail Voter Registration Form to include instructions that Kansas requires a copy of one of 13 documents to verify that the applicant using the federal form is a citizen of the United States. This will create chaos in Kansas if you don’t do this!”
In September, I heard former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum speak of family values, how he has hope for America and just how desperately we all want our nation to return to the Lord.
Rick Santorum, is now CEO of EchoLight Studios, the first movie company to produce, finance, market and distribute faith-based, family films across all releasing platforms. He’s stepped into an adventure to reach the masses with wholesome movies.
This weekend, November 22nd, EchoLight Studios will celebrate the opening of their new, world-class Christmas movie entitled The Christmas Candle. Culture Shield wholeheartedly endorses this movie and encourages Christians and churches everywhere to attend and support the world premiere of what promises to be an instant and enduring Christmas classic.
It is encouraging after the announcement by Tony Perkins that we can look forward to more family friendly movies. We have prayed for years for Hollywood, and the Lord has answered our prayers as Tony shared that they were ready to release 15 more movies.
Despite, the battle we are in for religious liberty, the entertainment sphere seems to be producing some excellent work. Tomorrow I’ll share what Ray Comfort has done.
15 When our enemies heard that we knew their scheme and that God had frustrated it, every one of us returned to his own work on the wall. 16 From that day on, half of my men did the work while the other half held spears, shields, bows, and armor. The officers supported all the people of Judah,17 who were rebuilding the wall. The laborers who carried the loads worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other.
Men of God, arise and take your place on the wall.
We need the men of God to arise in Kansas.
While we love the homosexual person, we simply cannot allow them to change the way we live in order for them to feel “normal.” No matter how mainstream the homosexual agenda becomes, we know this is against God’s law.
If we don’t turn around what happened in Topeka, the threat of this happening in other cities in Kansas is inevitable. (see blog from Sept. 16th)
“. . .when Tiller was fatally shot while ushering at his Wichita church. At least briefly, people of good will on both sides of abortion could agree on something — that the murder was a monstrous act.” (Wichita Eagle)
Kansans wanted abortion to end but this is not the way we wanted it to end. For years Kansas was known as the abortion capital of the nation. Many Christians had been praying for abortion to end. We were hoping for a testimony that would say Tiller had changed and babies were safe again in Kansas. As we all know now, that’s not the way it ended in 2009.
Unfortunately, there are some who want to make a martyr of him, so much so that they have a documentary about him called “After Tiller.”
The Tallgrass Film Festival will show a special screening of After Tiller on November 20th at 7:30pm at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita, KS. Trust Women will be selling tickets to the film.
I’ve watched the trailer to this movie and it makes the participants out to be heros instead of ones who take the lives of the unborn. One nurse says, “I can’t quit, who would take my place?”
Our prayer is that Personhood would be restored to the unborn, and thereby abortion would become once again unthinkable.
We are making plans about the pro-life response to this outrageous movie. Go back to our homepage and sign up for our weeky emails to stay up to date on this issue and many more effecting Kansas.
A debate is happening at Florence High School in Florence, Colo., located near Colorado Springs. Parents of several girls are seeking a legal remedy after their daughters were required to share bathrooms with a male who maintains his true gender identity is that of a woman.
Last week two girls were threatened to be removed from athletic participation if they didn’t stop quoting the constitution about their right to privacy. A young man who claims he’s really a woman is allowed to come into their restroom and locker room.
The Pacific Justice League sent a strongly-worded letter to school officials at Florence High School, warning them against squelching student privacy and speech rights in order to cater to the wishes of a teenage boy who has been entering girls’ bathrooms on campus.
This isn’t the only school to be affected by these laws. Many schools in California, Colorado and other states across our nation have started to be affected by this LGBT agenda. We have to stand up now and fight these battles one city at a time. We must get involved and unite and not just sit on the sidelines and watch our children’s rights be threatened. Our children should not have to suffer because of these political agendas being forced on them.
It’s one thing for everyone to have freedom, but when they come after our children,….when they infringe on our lifestyle, we’d better stand up and be counted or lose our nation to a loud 3% of the population.
