Who Should Take Care of the Poor?

Matthew 25:45…‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Whose responsibility is it to take care of the poor, clothe and feed them, give them drink?  It’s our job, the body of Christ.  It’s time the church takes back the responsibility from the government.
Did you know that when you give the government a dollar to take care of the poor, that only 15 cents actually gets there? However, when you give a dollar to a Christian charity, 85 cents goes directly to the needy.  That’s 6 times more effective.  Doesn’t this just seem like common sense?
The Church must take back its proper role.
Please call your local church, rescue mission or local Christian charity to volunteer your time, talents or treasure.
